Unique fabrics create beautiful Turkish shoes
We design smoking shoes in limited editions, some fabric yields as few as 5 pairs! We use tapestry, silks, antique carpets both kilim and sheared Turkish knotted carpets. These shoes are built on Italian lasts [forms] giving them a refined look while keeping a balance of patterns over your toes.
These carpet loafers pop with a tuxedo and the groom stands out but these same Turkish loafers will work as a casual shoe with denim & the Turkish shoes are full time comfy.
Navy Blue Suzani
This antique fabric yielded 12 pairs of designed shoes. Suzani means stitched in Farsi. This unique fabric was a wall hanging prior to being made into our autumnal designer shoe collection. These fabrics are all hand stitched.
Every handmade pair of our Turkish shoes is a one of a kind shoe given the free form patterns and the various sizes we have made.
Added to your favorite attire, presto! - it is a classic winter outfit.
A Saddle Leather Purse
Like so many others we love well made leather products.
This hand crafted leather purse is premium oil tanned leather built by skilled saddle makers in Argentina. There's an adjustable shoulder strap and the snap closure on the back that adds security. It is the equine classic and will give you years of service while improving with age.
Sustainable Fashion & Art
Our focus is on handmade and affordable fashion accessory items. We search for products with organic dyes, we demand premium leathers and all cotton threads. We love silk and especially hand dyed silk ikat. These one-of-a-kind items are produced in limited quantities in small cooperatives and family businesses. Our efforts in advising in designs, sizing and colors allows these far-flung artisans to develop a market among US consumers. We aim to be a fair-trade business as well as a business providing sustainable products crafted in traditional methods.
